Hello,

My name is Dr. Joe Williams and I am the PROUD principal of the ARMS Academy.  On behalf of my entire staff, I would like to thank you for allowing us to educate your child this school year.  Here at the ARMS Academy, we truly are on the way to "Setting the Standard" in Charleston County.  The goals of our school are:

  1. Creating a positive learning environment through the proper implementation of our Positive Behavior Interventions Systems program (PBIS).
  2. Creating and supporting a culture of literacy.
  3. Owning our data and using it to deliver quality instruction AND
  4. Exposing our scholars to colleges/universities and letting them know this is an option for them.

Parents please encourage scholars to come to school prepared, respectful and ready to learn.  We would also like for you to ensure that they read something EVERYDAY!  We know that we cannot accomplish ANYTHING without our parents.  We appreciate you for everything that you do and ask that you continue to support us in all of our efforts to enhance the lives of our children.  Please let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do to help your child have a successful year and again we want to say thank you for choosing ARMS!

Dr. Joe Williams

Please encourage students to read this summer and complete all assignments in the grade level Summer Reading Bundles they were given. If students did not receive a bundle of books, please contact the school to get information on how they can get these items. Students that complete all assignment sheets included in the bundles will have their names put into a drawing for Ipods when we return. Three students from each grade level that complete one of the BIG projects for one of the books will be eligible to win money from Dr. Williams!
